Catch 22

Ah, my last day of being 22...I'll get really sappy if I let myself, but I will say that the last year has been turbulent with both positives and negatives. I won't dwell on the negatives, but rather acknowledge where they have taken me. This morning I registered for my first college course in two years, in what I hope will be the start of finally finishing my degree. By finishing, I mean starting over from scratch, which isn't so much daunting as motivating. I'm glad to see 22 go and I look forward to wherever 23 takes me.

If you can't tell, I was absolutely dying to show off my new purchases from this weekend. I'm one of those people that has to re-try on everything I purchased the second I get home. I'm in love with these tweed shorts, the first pair of non-denim shorts I've bought possibly ever. I love the folded over detail at the waste and decorative buttons. The moccasin pumps seemed like perfect match, and I'll never say no to a little extra height!

I'm running into a real conundrum as the weather gets nicer and I delve farther into my fashion obsession. I've completely run out of room to store my clothes! Between my bureau and closet, everything is jam-packed. Shoes are especially a heinous sight. I'm thinking of purchasing a garment rack, although I have no idea what to do with shoes. Are you guys confined by small living spaces too? If so, how do you organize your clothes?

  1. Happy bday mama <3 I have a nightmare with organizing clothes as well. We're moving soon so hopefully I will be able to fit some sort of big wardrobe or garment rack in the bedroom in my new place if it doesn't have enough closet space. For now, I've resorted to keeping shoes in their original boxes and stacking them or keeping them in their dustbags and hanging them in the closet. As for clothes, everything is just all over the place. I'm going to be getting rid of a ton of shit before we move.

  2. Happy Birthday!! Love the shorts too.
My bedroom is 10 x 7. Tiny. Under the bed is the way to go. Or add shelving high on the walls to rotate out seasonal clothes.
Good luck with the organizing, but save that for later, it's your Birthday week!!

  3. happy birthday! love your shoes.... hmmm.... im lucky enough to have an extra room for clothes. we turned a spare bedroom into a walk-in closet, and i bought industrial strength rolling racks for the clothes, and turned the closet in the room into wall-to-wall shoes. but before that??? huge tupperware containers all over the place.... sigh.

  4. oh man I remember turning 23 three years ago...I honestly still feel the same if not better. hope I can still say the same in a few years

  5. What a nice little birthday surprise for you over at Modcloth's blog! That's awesome!

  6. Happy birthday!

I am so someone too who re-tries things on as soon as I get home, I love it.. haha.

Those shorts are so great! love them.
